Drive Confidently with CarBravo

Shopping at a used car dealership like ours is a smart way to find a reliable vehicle while staying within your budget. Used vehicles depreciate more slowly, are more affordably priced, and offer a wider selection of makes and models. Fortunately, the good news doesn't stop there. With rising prices, more drivers are turning to used vehicles to save money. However, they expect the same script–an experience laden with concerns about vehicle condition and maintenance history. Traditionally, shopping for a used vehicle meant taking a great risk, but that's no longer true. At LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor, we're thrilled to be a CarBravo dealership and introduce a new, more confident, and rewarding way to shop for a used vehicle. Backed by General Motors, CarBravo gives shoppers greater confidence when purchasing a used car, truck, or SUV. Here's everything you need to know about this exciting program. more What Is CarBravo? CarBravo is General Motors' used-vehicle marketplace and certified vehicle program, designed to provide shoppers with additional confidence through inspections, warranties, and ownership benefits. Unlike traditional Certified Pre-Owned programs that are limited to a single automaker's marque, CarBravo models span the entire spectrum of world-renowned brands. You'll find GM models from Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC alongside non-GM vehicles. The result? A top-quality selection that provides drivers like you with a higher-quality used vehicle experience backed by inspections, warranty coverage, roadside assistance, and many other benefits. CarBravo provides the confidence you deserve on the pre-owned lot. What Makes a Vehicle "CarBravo Certified?" Not every used vehicle qualifies for CarBravo certification. Why? GM's certified used vehicle program holds models to higher standards to give customers like you the best, top-quality selection. To earn certification, eligible vehicles first qualify based on their age and mileage, which determines where they fall in the two-tiered program–CarBravo or BravoBudget. From there, the vehicles undergo a rigorous multi-point inspection performed by certified technicians. These inspections evaluate major components, ensuring every vehicle meets the program's stringent quality standards. CarBravo Certified Vehicles CarBravo vehicles are generally newer models with lower mileage that have passed a comprehensive inspection and vetting process. Vehicles in this category must meet strict requirements for age, condition, and overall quality. CarBravo vehicles meet these standards: Less than 10 model years old Have less than 100,000 miles on the odometer Pass a 126-point inspection BravoBudget Vehicles Budget-savvy shoppers looking for an older pre-owned car, truck, or SUV that offers greater confidence and peace of mind will appreciate BravoBudget models. Why? BravoBudget models recognize something that most certified used vehicle programs do not: the value of older models with higher mileage. These cars, trucks, and SUVs still have a lot to offer and plenty of miles left on the odometer, and CarBravo leverages that with this second tier. BravoBudget vehicles meet these standards: 10 to 15 model years old 100,000 to 150,000 miles on the odometer Pass a strict 62-point inspection The result? Cars, trucks, and SUVs that offer more confidence and certainty to value-conscious buyers seeking dependable transportation at a lower price point. The Inspection Process: CarBravo Standards One of the biggest reasons shoppers choose CarBravo is the inspection process. Unlike a standard used vehicle, which is cleaned inside and out before joining our lot, every used CarBravo vehicle undergoes a comprehensive inspection that verifies it's worthy of certification, a place in our inventory, and a future in your driveway. During the inspection, our certified technicians assess critical vehicle systems, such as: Engine Transmission Steering Suspension Batteries Brakes Tires and wheels Electrical components Interior and exterior condition Safety features Vehicles that do not meet the CarBravo standards are either repaired before certification or removed from the program altogether. The process, albeit highly competitive, ensures that shoppers like you have access to a selection of pre-owned cars, trucks, and SUVs that have been carefully evaluated to deliver the quality, value, and reliability you deserve. Benefits of Buying a CarBravo Vehicle CarBravo certification offers much more than an inspection alone. Drivers enjoy a variety of benefits designed to provide confidence long after they leave our lot. Warranties: Peace of Mind for Every Mile One of the most valuable CarBravo benefits is warranty protection, a benefit you won't find on traditional used vehicles that are sold as-is. These warranties vary by certification, but both CarBravo and BravoBudget warranties cover these core components: Engine Turbocharger Supercharger Driving systems Transfer case Transmission Transaxle Seals Gaskets This bumper-to-bumper limited warranty offers coverage for: 12 months or 12,000 miles on CarBravo models. 30 days or 1,000 miles on BravoBudget models. Extended Coverage with CarBravo CarBravo models less than 10 model years old with fewer than 100,000 miles on the odometer have more components covered than BravoBudget models do. The CarBravo warranty also includes: Air conditioner Brakes EV and hybrid components Electrical Front and rear suspension Regenerative braking system Steering Roadside Assistance: 24/7, 365 Days a Year Unexpected situations can happen to any driver, but GM helps you prepare for the unexpected by adding roadside assistance to every CarBravo and BravoBudget vehicle. This coverage runs the duration of your warranty and offers 24-hour roadside service, 365 days a year. It's an essential service that can assist with a dead car battery, a flat tire, an empty fuel tank, lockouts, and more. Satisfaction Guarantee, Total Transparency, & Convenience CarBravo is designed to make the used vehicle buying experience more transparent and convenient from start to finish. Every eligible CarBravo vehicle includes benefits that help shoppers confidently navigate their purchase and enjoy support long after the sale. These benefits run the entire spectrum, from satisfaction to convenience: Transparency via every CARFAX vehicle history report Vehicles with any applicable safety recalls addressed before certification Courtesy transportation for covered warranty repairs Top-quality service from expert technicians at CarBravo dealerships like ours No extra charges or hidden fees for parts, labor, or towing on covered warranty repairs A 10-day or 500-mile vehicle exchange program that ensures your satisfaction Together, these features create a more relaxed, worry-free ownership experience and reinforce CarBravo's commitment to your satisfaction at every step of the car-buying and ownership process. FAQs: Know Before You Shop Have questions? We have answers as your CarBravo dealer. #1 What is CarBravo? CarBravo is General Motors' certified used vehicle program, providing warranty coverage and additional benefits that many used vehicles don't offer. #2 Are CarBravo models only GM brands? CarBravo models can be any make and model, and are not limited to GM brands. As a result, you can shop Buick, Cadillac, GMC, and Chevrolet models alongside world-renowned brands like Ford, Ram, Jeep, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Audi, BMW, and countless others. #3 Does every vehicle earn CarBravo certification? No. CarBravo vehicles are held to higher standards: every vehicle must meet specific age and mileage requirements before undergoing a thorough inspection by certified technicians. Vehicles are also certified recall-free. #4 What's the difference between CarBravo and BravoBudget? CarBravo is a tiered program that includes newer models, less than 10 model years old, with fewer than 100,000 miles on the odometer, that qualify as CarBravo models. Older models are classified as BravoBudget, which are 10 to 15 years old and have between 100,000 and 150,000 miles on the odometer. These models are also inspected, backed by BravoBudget warranties, and include many ownership perks. #5 Where can I shop for CarBravo vehicles? You can shop the entire CarBravo showroom online, a perk that adds convenience and puts an impressive selection of top-quality cars, trucks, and SUVs at your fingertips. You can also browse your options in person at LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor, where our team is excited to help you find the perfect fit for your needs. Shop with Confidence Through CarBravo Buying a used vehicle shouldn't mean compromising on quality, reliability, or peace of mind. CarBravo helps take the uncertainty out of the process by offering carefully inspected vehicles backed by warranty coverage, roadside assistance, and additional ownership benefits. Whether you're searching for a newer pre-owned model or a budget-friendly vehicle that still meets rigorous standards, CarBravo provides added confidence at every stage of ownership. At LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor, we're proud to offer CarBravo-certified vehicles and help drivers find dependable transportation that fits their needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Selling Your Car? Start Here

The digital age has given drivers more options than ever before for selling goods and services, whether it's renting out your home, delivering food, or ferrying people around town as part of a rideshare service. There are many advantages to these tech-powered transactions, especially in terms of convenience, but the approach loses some of its appeal when it comes to big-ticket items like cars, trucks, and SUVs. Drivers have been peddling their unwanted automotive wares through newspaper classifieds and auto-trading publications for decades, but the advent of the internet has made private sales easier than ever. more Just type “ Sell my car” into your browser of choice, and you’ll be met with endless options, including web-based classifieds and social media marketplaces. While the convenience is tough to deny, the web-based approach does have some downsides. From lowball offers and sketchy interactions to liability-related issues, private sales often fall short of the convenience and professionalism of the dealership experience. Join us as we explore the benefits of working with a dealership and cover a few brief tips that’ll help to prep your car for a successful sale. Dealer vs Private Sale Drivers have an important decision to make when it comes time to part with their current ride. Do you sell to the dealership, or try your luck on the open market? While it’s largely a matter of personal preference, there are some important factors a seller should consider before pursuing a private sale. Convenience and Speed Statistics show that the average private sale often takes as long as two to eight weeks between the time of listing and the day of sale, which can seem like an eternity if you’re desperate to replace your current daily driver. Between taking photos, making multiple listings, and responding to every tire kicker under the sun, a private sale can often be more of a hassle than it's worth. In contrast, a dealership sale can often be completed in a single visit, putting cash in your pocket and helping to finance your search for a suitable replacement. If you find yourself in a tight spot, the speed and ease of the dealership experience is pretty tough to beat. Price If you want to get the best price for your used vehicle, a dealership might be the more profitable option. While there’s a widely held belief that a private sale will yield a better return, that’s not necessarily the case, especially when it comes to newer, low-mileage vehicles. While guidelines vary by location and current market conditions, any vehicle that’s less than five years old and has fewer than 50,000 miles on the odometer could make a good candidate for a dealership sale. Used car prices have cooled following an all-time high in 2022, but remain historically high relative to pre-pandemic levels. Then there’s the professional touch. The experienced sales team at your local auto dealership knows its way around the block when it comes to buying a used vehicle and can walk you through every step of the process. From calculating the correct taxes and checking the title to completing the bill of sale, release of liability, and other pertinent paperwork, you won’t have to worry about running afoul of sales-related rules and regulations when you work with a dealership. Safety While we all try to put our trust in our fellow man, there are always going to be some shifty characters who are looking to take advantage of others wherever they can. If a vehicle experiences a malfunction or an accident soon after the sale, the buyer might seek compensation or try to shift liability to the seller. This is easily avoided at a dealership, where pre-owned vehicles undergo an exhaustive inspection and repair process that ensures only the safest, most reliable models reach the sales floor. Speaking of safety, there’s always going to be some risks associated with selling to a random stranger you found on the internet. This can be especially nerve-wracking if the sale was conducted through a social media site, which can allow buyers to access personal information, including your location, employer, friends, and relatives. You avoid this risk when selling to a dealership. Preparation Is Key The process of selling your used vehicle starts well before you make a listing or hit your local dealership. From finding the right paperwork to giving your vehicle a deep clean and researching a fair sale price, let’s walk through the basics and address any roadblocks a seller might encounter. Gather Paperwork The first step in the pre-sale process is gathering the necessary documentation to prove you actually own your vehicle. A vehicle’s title is the most important of these documents, though additional paperwork may be required under state law. While every seller is required to disclose the odometer’s status under the federal Truth in Mileage Act, some jurisdictions may also require emissions paperwork, a report of sale, and other documentation. If you’re unsure of the relevant laws in your area, a quick visit to your local DMV’s website is sure to turn up a comprehensive list. If you want to ensure you’re getting the best price for your used vehicle, consider including additional documents such as the owner’s manual, service records, and a vehicle history report. Research the Value Next, it’s time to determine the fair market value for your pre-owned vehicle. There are plenty of well-known websites that allow drivers to properly price their vehicles, with Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds among the more popular options. There’s no such thing as too much information when it comes to leveraging these resources. The more data you can plug into a trade-in website, the more accurate the price will be. From mileage and condition to color, trim, optional equipment packages, and accessories, there are countless factors that can impact a model’s market value. These apps will typically return a wealth of information, including separate prices for private sales and trade-ins. Drivers can also gauge value based on the vehicle’s condition, with sites like Kelley Blue Book providing specific data for vehicles in Fair, Good, Very Good, and Excellent condition. These pricing websites ensure you won’t leave any money on the table when it's time to part with your ride. However, while some of these websites will also offer to buy your vehicle, they tend to offer substantially less than fair market value. Get It Showroom Ready Finally, it’s time to prepare your vehicle for sale. A thorough cleaning can significantly up a car’s curb appeal, allowing owners to enjoy a better return on their investment. A quick car wash represents the bare minimum, but if you really want to walk away from the sale with a hefty check, the interior shouldn’t be treated as an afterthought. A little elbow grease can make all the difference on the day of sale, so lug out the vacuum cleaner and buy some specialized automotive cleaning products that’ll give the dashboard, upholstery, and interior trim that showroom shine. You’ll also want to remove any personal items that might be lodged in the cabin, as well as any bumper stickers or decorations. Once you’ve got your vehicle in tip-top condition, it’s time to take clear, high-quality photos from multiple angles that showcase your vehicle’s best side. A short video can also work wonders, dispelling any concerns about noisy engines, squeaky brakes, and other malfunctions that might affect the sale price. No one expects world-class photography, but it’s hard to underestimate the importance of good lighting for achieving the best results. Experience The Dealership Difference Selling your vehicle can be intimidating, but a little preparation can make a big difference in ensuring a fair, quick, and lucrative experience. From researching current prices and gathering important documents to snapping photos and cleaning the interior, there are lots of easy ways to get the most out of your automotive investment. Trust is key when it comes to making any big-ticket purchase, and that’s where LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor shines. Whether you’re looking to sell your current ride or finance your next vehicle, we’ll work out an equitable deal that’ll leave both parties feeling safe and satisfied. We’re always on the hunt for quality used vehicles and can offer the kind of pricing and convenience that are tough to find in a private sale. If you’re tired of replying to an endless stream of “Is this still available?” messages on social media and ready for a more civilized car-selling process, make your way down to LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor.

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV: Where Luxury Meets Electricity

Pickup trucks are among the most popular models on the market, largely because of their versatility. They are designed for hauling and towing while still offering a comfortable cab. And if you choose a model created by GMC, you can enjoy an even more luxurious ride thanks to its incredibly advanced features. However, a significant downside for some shoppers when considering a truck is its fuel efficiency and environmental impact. Luckily, the GMC brand has created a solution to this dilemma with its incredible Sierra EV. more This fully loaded full-size truck has everything you're looking for, from opulent features to impressive power, all wrapped up in one electric package. It also boasts a remarkable travel range, allowing you to do more and go farther than you ever thought possible. So, if you've been considering a GMC Sierra EV for sale but aren't entirely convinced that it's the right model for you, let this in-depth guide show you everything this eco-friendly truck has to offer. Impressive Performance Many shoppers seek a truck for its capabilities, and the 2025 Sierra EV can deliver. Don't let the idea of an electric powertrain trick you into thinking this model can't keep up (or even surpass) the best of them. GMC created the Sierra EV with a maximum of 760 hp, which is a staggering number for any type of truck, and it delivers a whopping 785 lb-ft of torque when properly equipped. Towing or hauling won't be a worry since the Sierra EV offers max trailering of up to 10,500 lbs; you'll never need to wonder if it can get the job done with numbers like these. The Sierra EV has an impressive range, reaching a maximum distance of 460 miles on a single charge. When you do run out of juice, don't worry about recharging, as the Sierra EV offers an impressively quick charging time of up to 100 miles per 10 minutes with DC Fast Charging. If you like speed, the Sierra EV can also deliver in that category: When Max Power mode is enabled, the pickup can go from 0 to 60 in less than 4.5 seconds. Just be wary, however, as this feature increases battery consumption. The Sierra EV is offered with the MultiPro midgate for maximizing your hauling space. This capability allows you to extend your truck bed to unfathomable sizes (10 feet, 10 inches, to be exact), offering more than two extra feet compared to a long bed. Simply fold the rear seats and take out the removable back glass window to give yourself an extra-large bed that can surely hold even your most demanding loads. This incredible truck is also off-road capable. It is equipped with a 4-Wheel Steer feature that helps improve maneuverability with three settings: Automatic, CrabWalk, and Off, so you can customize your Sierra EV's performance to your current needs. When engaged in the CrabWalk setting, the rear wheels will turn at the same angle as the front, enabling the Sierra EV to move diagonally. This truck also has an Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, which will automatically raise or lower the truck, allowing the vehicle to adjust to different conditions, improving comfort and aerodynamics on the highway or improving ground clearance off-road. A Luxurious Interior GMC is known for many things, but most notably, the brand has a reputation for blending powerful engineering with opulent interiors loaded with advanced features. The Sierra EV is no exception to this standard, as this truck's cab feels incredibly luxurious, allowing you to ride comfortably while tackling the most challenging tasks. You'll never have to strain your eyes to see the Sierra EV's massive 16.8-inch center touchscreen. You can customize this screen to ensure everything is set up the way you prefer. In the 2025 Sierra EV, you won't have to strain your ears to hear your favorite tunes, either. With its included Bose premium 7-speaker audio system, your music selection will come out clearer than you ever thought possible. This audio system also features a Richbass woofer to enhance your listening experience further. Bring a little of the outdoors indoors while riding in the Sierra EV, thanks to its massive panoramic glass roof. While the thought of a glass roof might make you imagine increased cabin temperatures from direct sunlight, GMC spared no expense to keep you comfortable while driving, as the glass roof is made with infrared and UV coatings to keep things at a manageable temperature while still allowing you to enjoy the light and views from above. Incredible Tech Features Convenience features are certainly enticing, but GMC wanted to ensure the 2025 Sierra EV had it all, so the brand included an abundance of advanced technology to make you feel as though you're stepping into the future. One of the most notable features of this eco-friendly pickup is the inclusion of Super Cruise, a hands-free driving tool that you will love to utilize on long trips to give yourself a little break. While driving on compatible roads, simply engage Super Cruise and sit back for a while. However, it's essential you remain attentive while utilizing this tool. To help keep your eyes where they belong (on the road), you can enjoy the 14-inch Head-Up Display. It projects essential drive data onto your windshield, so you never have to worry about glancing down to find what you're looking for. While enjoying all the tech features the Sierra EV offers, you can also charge your smart devices on the go easily with the truck's wireless charging pad. Thanks to this handy feature, you will arrive at your every destination with a full battery. GMC knew many tech features had been done before, but the brand wanted to add something to its vehicles that truly astounded its audience. You might be shocked to learn that the 2025 Sierra EV has an incredible capability called Vehicle-to-Home (V2H). Many people fear a blackout, and GMC wanted to offer something to help solve this potential problem. Thus, V2H was born. With this tech capability, your Sierra EV can provide power to your home in case of a blackout for up to 21 days. The 2025 Sierra EV Has Everything You Want It can be hard to find a truck that offers the best of all worlds: capability, tech features, and luxury. Add in eco-friendliness, and it may seem like a far-fetched fantasy. However, GMC is here to shake things up with a pickup that really does have it all. The 2025 Sierra EV is packed with everything buyers are looking for, all while boasting a powerful engine that runs entirely on electricity. You will love the performance you can get from a Sierra EV; with its impressive towing capabilities and the Multi-Pro midgate, you can do more than you ever thought possible. Although its exterior screams performance, the interior is loaded with luxurious comfort and tech features for an enjoyable ride. With a Bose audio system, Super Cruise, and massive displays, the Sierra EV offers an elevated ride you will love no matter how far you travel. If you've been searching for a sustainable truck that doesn't sacrifice performance or opulence, there's no better choice than the 2025 Sierra EV.

A blue 2024 Buick Encore GX for sale.

How the 2025 Buick Encore GX Outclasses the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek

With the 2025 model year in full swing and competition heating up, many automakers are vying for the top spot, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the subcompact SUV segment. In recent years, Buick's move to be an SUV-exclusive brand has been praised by many, as it found a way to offer drivers refined luxury for a lower price. This move has also been met with some stiff competition from other brands that are looking to make 2025 their year—most notably, Subaru. If you've been thinking about getting a 2025 Buick Encore GX for sale and want to know how it stacks up against its rivals, you've come to the right place. We're going to be looking at how the 2025 Encore GX outclasses the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek. A Signature Style No one likes driving something that's aesthetically unpleasing to the eye. We all prefer vehicles that allow us to make a memorable first impression, so for drivers who enjoy having style to match their substance, the Encore GX has plenty to offer. Buick's dedication to providing luxury can be found here both inside and out. The Encore GX has a unique front end and headlights that allow it to stand out. These features are complemented by an aerodynamic design that provides curves in all of the right places. If refinement and sophistication are the hallmarks of the Encore GX, then the opposite can be said about the Crosstrek. Subaru's subcompact is hampered by a design that resembles a wagon rather than an SUV. All trims—with the exception of the entry trim—have roof racks that might appeal to some but will be considered an eyesore by others. By implementing a refined style and retaining affordability, the Encore GX is the more attractive offering, inside and out. Power and Efficiency All drivers are different in what they look for in their vehicles. For many, though, it all begins and ends with the powertrain. Drivers want something that can produce strong power and effective handling and also save them money in between fill-ups. The Subaru Crosstrek, as is the case for the entire fleet this brand manufactures, comes with its classic Boxer engine and standard AWD across all trims. The entry-level 2025 Crosstrek Base has a 2.0L Boxer four-cylinder engine that produces 152 hp, and other trims have the advantage of a larger version that increases its performance output to 182 hp. Both engine options pair with a CVT. Having AWD as the sole drivetrain hinders fuel economy, as the Crosstrek offers no better than 27 MPG in the city. Buick takes the opposite route from Subaru. The 2025 Encore GX has two available engines, one built for performance and the other one for conservative fuel consumption. A 1.2L turbocharged I-3 pairs with a CVT on FWD models, the results of which are favorable for saving money on fuel. The EPA estimates that the 1.2L engine will be far more economical than the Crosstrek, offering drivers 30 MPG in the city. The second engine option for the Encore GX is a 1.3L turbocharged I-3. Unlike the CVT-exclusive powertrains on the Crosstrek, drivers who opt for AWD with this engine have the advantage of a nine-speed automatic transmission for optimum performance and better shifting. If you don't want an AWD vehicle, you're out of luck with Subaru. The Encore GX gives drivers a chance to choose between both drivetrains and its superior fuel economy is far more beneficial to drivers who are looking to save. The main problem with the Crosstrek is that it's designed for a niche crowd and lacks substantial versatility. Not everyone looks for an SUV that's favorable for off-roading, and the Encore GX can be outfitted for more traditional tasks than the Crosstrek can. Staying Connected Modern drivers expect more when they get behind the wheel. In this day and age, having access to the technology we use daily makes all the difference. These items are accessed via an infotainment screen, and having an intuitive and user-friendly system is imperative to enjoy your experience behind the wheel. Accessibility is paramount, and the Subaru Crosstrek Base is saddled with a seven-inch screen that provides compatibility with Apple and Android products but lacks a mobile hotspot and only has a four-speaker stereo system. In order to have a more enjoyable and informative experience behind the wheel, one has to pay extra for one of this model's upper trims. With more features standard across all trim levels, the Buick Encore GX has a much more immersive infotainment screen that every version of this SUV comes with. The Encore GX has an 11-inch touchscreen that provides wireless compatibility with Apple and Android products and simultaneous streaming capabilities for two phones via Bluetooth. All trims also have a standard six-speaker stereo system and hotspot capability. Besides the entertainment aspects that come with the Encore GX, navigation is standard as well. Buick not only continues to offer luxury for less, but it also consistently finds a way to offer more across all trims and not just a select few. Regardless of which version of the Encore GX you buy, you're getting access to the best technology. Driver Assistance The items that we've looked at so far are considered by many to be the necessities of what makes a vehicle ideal. Performance, infotainment, and style are important to many drivers, but one can never overlook the importance of safety. Buick and Subaru are both known as safe and reputable brands, so when it comes to comparing the two, it becomes a matter of which items are included in all trims and which ones are obscured by price. All trims of the Subaru Crosstrek come with a comprehensive suite known as EyeSight. These items include adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane-centering assistance, and lane departure warning. Some of the more advanced items, such as blind-spot detection and reverse automatic braking, are obscured to the upper trims. The Encore GX comes standard with a suite called Buick Driver Confidence and matches many of the features offered by Subaru. However, other items come standard that provide a more enhanced and safer experience during travels. Front pedestrian braking is standard and can be crucial in keeping others safe. Reaction time is monitored closely, with the inclusion of a following distance indicator. As is the case with all GM vehicles, the Encore GX also has Teen Driver mode. Teen Driver acts as a virtual report card for the younger drivers in your family. By monitoring driving patterns and allowing you to set limitations on things such as stereo volume, you can ensure that the next generation is following the responsible habits you're teaching them. With a broader range of items meant to enhance protection and oversight, it's no wonder why the Buick Encore GX is the safer bet for drivers everywhere. The Buck Stops With the Buick Encore GX In the highly competitive world of SUVs, drivers expect more, which is precisely what you'll find with the 2025 Buick Encore GX. With luxurious stylings inside and out and more options to choose from regarding powertrains, the Subaru Crosstrek just doesn't have the versatility that Buick does. If you're looking for an SUV that checks all of the boxes yet also surpasses expectations, Buick is the brand for you.

With three well-designed outfits, the 2025 Acadia has something for everyone. So, we're providing an easy-to-understand guide, giving you an overview of the latest Acadia's three trims and their distinct offerings. The Elevation: An Extravagant Base Trim Whether you need a great family vehicle or a road trip-ready SUV, the Elevation has you covered. With second- and third-row manual-folding split-bench seats, the 2025 Acadia is a cargo superstar, ready to accommodate your gear, coolers, luggage, and more. Plus, a hands-free auto-sense liftgate makes it easy to load your trunk when your hands are full; just approach with your fob on your body, and it will open for you. These cargo powers don't even touch on the fact that the Acadia can tow up to 5,000 lbs. So feel free to bring that boat or camper on your adventures. Inside, you'll find features you'd expect to be reserved for higher-level trims, like a 12-speaker premium audio system from Bose, ready to transport your passengers to the worlds of your audiobooks or help them jam out to playlists. A 15-inch infotainment screen adds to the upscale feel, giving you a large display to see your turn-by-turn directions and control your smartphone apps. Plus, an 11-inch driver information display shows you important vehicle and journey stats. You'll be impressed with the generous array of standard driver assistance features, too. So whether you mostly stay within the city, explore remote roads, or hit the highways, you'll feel confident in the Acadia. From automatic braking to blind zone steering assist, a high-definition rear camera, and sensors that detect both pedestrians and cyclists, the Acadia is truly prepared for any environment. We'd love to discuss all fifteen of these features with you in person and show you how they work! The AT4: An Incredible Off-Road Warrior The AT4 is a really fun trim if you're looking to explore some off-the-beaten-path destinations and want an SUV that can keep up. It boasts an off-road-tuned suspension, ready to absorb bumps and shocks when you travel down unpredictable terrain. Plus, with an active torque control AWD system, it'll adjust the torque at each wheel according to your driving conditions, for optimal traction. Add the all-terrain tires, and this trim is ready to go wherever your adventurous heart wants to go! A lifted ride height not only helps you see what's ahead on the trails with a little advance notice but also helps you travel over obstacles like fallen branches and small boulders with ease. However, in the event something does scratch up against the bottom of your vehicle, the front and back underbody skid plates can protect your vehicle against damage. Another cool feature of this trim is the AT4-exclusive Terrain mode, part of the Traction Select System. Every 2025 Acadia trim has this system, but the other two trims only have six modes (Normal, Sport, Snow, Off-Road, AWD, and Tow/Haul). Only the AT4 brings the rugged Terrain mode into the mix, ready for rough environments. If you know your days will involve hiking boots, hidden waterfalls, ATVing, and getting away from the grid, consider the AT4 trim. The Denali: Your Luxury Escape on Wheels From life in the wild to a life of luxury, we switch from the AT4 to the Denali. The Denali is known as the trim that sets the standard for luxury in the SUV market. The Acadia's version is no exception, with its leather-appointed first- and second-row seats that also happen to be heated and ventilated, providing year-round climate comfort. Even the rear outboard seats get heated in this trim. While the Elevation's rear rows manually fold, the Denali's power fold, so just push a button and they'll go down gently, creating tons of extra cargo room. Another perk of this trim is the memory settings, which you get on the driver's seat and outside mirrors: the vehicle will recall your preferred settings each time you turn on the ignition. Given the highly adjustable front seats, complete with lumbar adjustments, you'll like this feature on long drives. In addition to the large screens found on the other trims, the Denali adds another display—but it's not a screen; it's a configurable 8-inch head-up display that will project important drive data on your windshield directly in your line of sight. So you don't have to look away from the road to know who that incoming call is from or what your next direction is. Available Add-Ons Now that you've gotten to know the three trims, you hopefully have an understanding of which one is right for your drives. From there, you're ready to consider some add-ons, and there are a few great ones to consider. First, the available panoramic sunroof is a dual-panel sunroof with a power tilt feature that can let in fresh air. It also has a sunshade to keep the light out when you prefer a dark cabin (such as when streaming video on tablets or phones). Next, there are up to eight available camera views for the Elevation trim and nine for the AT4 and Denali trims. The eight on the Elevation include front standard view, rear standard view, front overhead view, rear overhead view, side forward view, side rearward view, hitch view, and top-down view. If you get the AT4 or Denali, you'll get the addition of a rear camera mirror, which turns your rearview mirror into a digital screen, displaying the view of your rear camera. Finally, Super Cruise, GMC's hands-free driving tool, is available on all trims. It can take over steering, braking, accelerating, and even lane-changing on compatible highways. So, when you're tackling long drives and want a break from the monotonous maneuvers, let Super Cruise take over. You can find this tool on all three trims, making it easy to customize your perfect model to fit your unique needs. An Overview of the 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir

The third-generation Buick Enclave kicks off with the 2025 model year, introducing lots of new standard features and upgraded performance and technology. All of this is elevated by the top-of-the-line Avenir trim, which brings even more luxury appeal to this three-row SUV. If you're thinking about shopping for a Buick Enclave for sale with the Avenir trim in mind, you might be wondering what's new for the model year, as well as how much value you are getting out of it. We want to take a moment to cover the basics of this revamped model's performance, safety, technology, and what's new for the model year. We will also discuss updates and improvements to its Avenir trim—this way, if you're considering getting one, you'll have all the information you need to make an informed purchase of your next luxury SUV. more What's New for the Enclave Avenir? There is a lot to love about the new 2025 Enclave Avenir, such as the all-new infotainment stack featuring a 30-inch premium ultra-wide HD touchscreen. It's standard across the trim lineup, not only the Avenir. The Enclave can also now be equipped with the available Super Cruise tool, making it the first Buick to get this hands-free, semi-autonomous driving feature; this gives the Avenir an added sense of convenience as you travel to your destinations, with the vehicle doing most of the hard work. Visually, the exterior has been overhauled in many different ways, including making use of Buick's new design language, which was originally introduced with the Buick Wildcat EV concept car. As a result, trims like the Avenir now feature a completely redesigned fascia, including narrower headlights, the Buick emblem now being on the front lower part of the hood rather than on the grille, and a clean mesh grille shape with chrome surround leading to the side inlets. A sporty bumper with a grilled air dam helps round out the bold new fascia for the third-gen Enclave. Another big change for the new generation is that all trims come standard with a new powertrain: a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder that makes 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and capable of towing up to 5,000 lbs. That's nearly 5% more horsepower and approximately 18% more torque than the Enclave's outgoing V6. Not only that, but the 4-cylinder provides better fuel economy at 20 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway in front-wheel drive, and 19 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway in all-wheel drive, which are slightly better figures than the outgoing V6. Exclusive Features for the Avenir Trim There are specific features exclusive to the Avenir that you don't get with the other trims, including the 22-inch Avenir Pearl Nickel alloy wheels tucked into all-season blackwall tires. You also have rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, and an illuminated walk-up animation when you approach the vehicle. The other exclusive features include the 16-speaker Bose Performance Series surround sound audio setup, which is perfect for streaming your favorite playlists through the infotainment system. The Avenir also has standard power heated and ventilated front seats with massage capability, as well as heated outboard second-row seats. Another big feature is the continuous damping control for the chassis with enhanced electronically controlled damping for all four wheels; these suspension refinements give the Avenir a smooth presence on the road, ensuring you don't feel bumps or uneven transitions while traveling. Finally, the Avenir comes standard with the Power Package, which includes one-touch power-folding third-row seats and a head-up display. Performance and Safety Features Beyond the new turbocharged 4-cylinder and dynamic damping for the suspension, the 2025 Enclave Avenir also comes standard with a brake wear indicator, electronic traction control, and electronic transmission range selection. You have automatic engine start-stop functionality with override controls, as well as StabiliTrak for electronic stability management and traction control. The Avenir also comes with a litany of standard safety features, too, including enhanced automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, side bicyclist alert, and lane-keeping assistance with lane departure warnings. All new safety features made standard for 2025 include blind zone steering assistance, traffic sign recognition, and intersection automatic emergency braking; this is in addition to an automatic occupant sensing display, buckle-to-drive functionality, driver attention assistance, following distance indicator, and forward collision alert. You also have features like HD Surround Vision so you can get a clear view of the Enclave Avenir when parking or pulling out, as well as rear parking assistance with rear pedestrian alert and reverse automatic braking. Features like the rear seat reminder, safety alert seat, and three-point driver and front passenger seat belts are passive safety to the Enclave. For families, features like the LATCH system's lower anchors and tethers are very useful, as are features like OnStar services and its connected navigation and emergency response support. Of course, the 2025 Enclave Avenir wouldn't be complete without the inclusion of Teen Driver mode, which is useful if you want enforced safety limits on your young driver and a report card for their after-drive reviewing. Technology and Convenience Features Accompanying the standard performance and safety features is a suite of tech features that includes a head-up display and an all-new center console with a segment-defining 30-inch combined digital driver display and media touchscreen. You can customize the digital cluster for telemetry, travel information, and vehicle health, and you can use the touchscreen to engage apps, change playlists, get navigation, and use the integrated wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. You also have Google Built-In with digital assistant functionality and voice recognition, as well as a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. You get static and dynamic ambient interior lighting for the Avenir, as well as SiriusXM. Front and rear USB ports are available for charging devices, along with a standard wireless charging pad for smartphones. Memory settings accompany the driver's power-massaging front seat, which is clad in perforated leather, and you can have the interior upholstered in either Sky Cool Gray with Ebony or Slate Blue with Cool Gray. In the rear, the AutoSense power tailgate makes it easy to access the cargo area just by approaching it! Power-folding outside mirrors come standard, along with an Avenir badge on the exterior, so everyone knows what kind of Buick Enclave you're driving. Additionally, the Avenir is available in six distinct exterior colors for the 2025 model year: White Frost Tricoat, Ebony Twilight Metallic, Cherry Red Tintcoat, Moonstone Gray Metallic, Smokey Amethyst Metallic, or Ocean Blue Metallic. How the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation Trim Rises Above Its Competition

There's nothing on earth quite like a truck that's been built by GMC. Merging the rough and tough capability of Chevy with the sophistication of Cadillac, GMC continues to exceed expectations as to what a pickup truck can offer. As the sibling of the Chevy Silverado, the GMC Sierra 1500 encapsulates hard-working motivation with the refinement many drivers dream of. The 2024 GMC Sierra has several trims, each with unique advantages. Today, we're looking at the Elevation. Three levels up from the base trim, the Elevation has a fair amount of capability and class and can assist you in various applications. If you've been considering a GMC Sierra 1500 for sale, you'll want to pay close attention to what we're discussing today. more Performance and Prowess No matter what you want to accomplish in a GMC Sierra 1500, there's no denying that the foundation of choosing what you want to do all comes down to the powertrain. The Elevation has three offerings, each applicable to having a vehicle ideally formulated for performance, workplace obligations, and much more. The standard powertrain consists of a 2.7L turbocharged four-cylinder that GM has recently rechristened as the TurboMax. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, you'll have the advantage of 310 hp and the capacity to generate 430 lb-ft of torque. The TurboMax supports a payload capacity of 2,240 lbs. The other two options include a 5.3L V8 that increases the hp up to 355 but doesn't deliver nearly as powerfully as the TurboMax in the torque department, as it can only generate 383 lb-ft. The V8 is still a viable towing machine, able to pull 11,200 lbs. The most prolific towing machine for the Elevation is found in the 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel engine. Like the V8, it pairs with a ten-speed automatic transmission for optimum performance. It can generate 495 lb-ft of torque and unlocks the maximum towing capacity of 13,200 lbs. Opting for the diesel powertrain also unlocks the potential to get the best fuel economy out of the Elevation. The EPA estimates that drivers can expect to achieve 23 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway for a combined average of 25 MPG. This is ideal for people planning to travel long distances for work. A Sophisticated Interior While the Elevation trim offers the type of peak performance that you would expect from Chevy, its interior is very much on par with Cadillac. Black cloth upholstery adorns the interior, and you can upgrade to bucket seats for a more comfortable experience when you're behind the wheel. Like so many other vehicle designs in the marketplace, an infotainment screen anchors the interior, and the Elevation is one of the best ones in the entire industry. A 13.4-inch display screen has Google integration and wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A standard six-speaker stereo system offers an immersive experience with pristine quality. However, if you consider yourself an audiophile and want to maximize your enjoyment, a high-end Bose system with seven speakers can be equipped. Safety and Driver Assistance Features The impressive nature of the Elevation trim isn't limited to its creature comforts of the interior or its highly capable powertrains. Always a brand that's had its finger on the pulse of what's important to drivers, GMC has equipped the Sierra with a wide array of safety and driving assistance features meant to enhance your time behind the wheel and provide additional oversight for situations that warrant it. The Elevation comes equipped with the GMC Pro Safety suite, which has essential features for any driver to utilize on their travels. These include a Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking, both critical for preserving reaction time, and a Following Distance Indicator to assist with this necessity. Other features include IntelliBeam automatic high beams, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. There's also the ability to have Adaptive Cruise Control equipped, which is essential for safe travel on the highway. If safety is a significant concern, adding the Sierra Safety Plus Package can further enhance oversight and protection. These are some of the most advanced safety features available on the marketplace, including Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Rear Pedestrian Braking, and Front and Rear Park Assist. For those who plan on doing a fair amount of towing and trailering, this package includes many provisions that ensure getting your cargo delivered safely. Multiple camera views and Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert can be imperative when you've got a load to carry. Packages to Enhance the Journey The Elevation comes with several standard features, but one of the best advantages of the Sierra is the multiple packages that GMC offers to customize your vehicle to match your precise specifications thoroughly. Since we already looked at the Safety Plus Package, we'll explore how you can get the most out of your truck. Max Trailering Package It is ideal for tradespeople who plan on utilizing the Elevation for towing and trailering. This will allow your truck to handle heavy workloads others might shy away from. Several modifications are made to the Sierra, such as upgraded suspensions, heavy-duty springs, and a larger axle ratio. These items will increase your truck's GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating.) Other items include a Trailer Brake Controller, a stronger radiator to prevent overheating, and an automatic locking rear differential. Elevation Black Package Exclusive to the Elevation trim, this gives you that unique aesthetic that goes excellent with a black GMC Sierra. Black GMC logos and rectangular assist steps highlight the exterior, and the interior has the benefit of all-weather floor liners. Preferred Package The Preferred Package is precisely what happens when you want the best towing capability and unsurpassed luxury. You'll have the Universal Home Remote to grant you access to your home even before you are in the driveway, as well as Adaptive Cruise Control, which is currently one of the most sought-after features on the market. For those who enjoy towing and trailering, an integrated Trailer Brake Controller and In-Vehicle Trailering App allow you safe travels and complete oversight. It's Time to Elevate Your Truck Driving Experience While plenty of trucks are on the marketplace, only one brand gives you everything you could have ever asked for and more. The 2024 GMC Sierra's Elevation trim combines capable performance that surpasses other offerings from Ford and RAM and equips you with a host of amenities and safety features that are the best any brand offers. An exceptional vehicle like the Sierra 1500 allows tradespeople and drivers of all backgrounds to experience luxury and performance simultaneously. When taking full advantage of the Elevation trim, one location can offer you the ideal buying experience that surpasses all others: LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor. Instead of dreading your morning commute, you’re going to find yourself enjoying it—and all of a sudden, you’ll be the happiest person in the office on cold Monday mornings. Come summer, though, the morning commute isn’t so bad. The commute home, however, might be more challenging. We’ve all been in the dreadful position of entering a vehicle after it’s been sitting in the heat all day. You can’t roll the windows down as it’s too hot outside, but you’re stuck waiting for the AC to get running before it can cool you down—and now you’re all sweaty during your trek home! The 2024 Envision will make certain this does not happen. For one, it has an excellent, adaptable climate system. You can select an Envision with a dual-zone climate control system that will cool your vehicle down fast and allow your co-pilot to set their own airflow temperature, so you’re both in your preferred environments. However, there’s another element of comfort: your front seats can be ventilated, which will make those hot and humid drives home far more bearable. The ventilated seats use an interior fan to circulate air that will keep the driver cool despite the temperature. You’re going to be well prepared for Michigan’s ever-changing climate if you’re in a 2024 Envision. You’ll be comfortable on the road whether a cold snap just hit or if it’s a scorcher of a day. Seats to Sink Into Michigan has a lot to explore and enjoy. The most obvious locations are the Great Lakes, where you and your family can enjoy water sports and memorable summer evenings. But there’s also the city of Detroit, with its many museums and restaurants. Then, of course, there’s Ann Arbor itself. Whether you’re driving the kids around to events or just commuting to work, you’re likely spending some serious time behind the wheel, which means you understandably want your SUV to be comfortable. The climate features we mentioned above help do that, but they’re far from the only reason you’re going to love your time in your Envision. The Envision’s top trim, the Avenir, is perfect if you’re looking for luxury in your SUV’s interior, although the other trims aren’t exactly slouching on this front, either. The available massaging driver's seat is sure to please you if you’re regularly taking long trips. It’ll help your posture while you’re behind the wheel and make it less likely you’ll become fatigued. That’s not all, though, as you can have an eight-way power front seat with four-way power lumbar to give some extra assistance to your back! Those heated and ventilated front seats can be leather-appointed, too, letting everyone who comes onboard know that you have a classy taste. As a bonus, you can also opt for a moonroof, which will allow your passengers to look up at the stars when you’re traveling through Ann Arbor or along the Great Lakes at night. It will be yet another way you’ll make sure your passengers have a memorable experience. A Very Smart SUV The 2024 Buick Envision has plenty of technology for you to use—tech that’ll both help you drive safely and add to your enjoyment. The Envision comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so connecting your device to your vehicle won’t be a problem. What will be really neat, though, is the 30.0-inch digital display screen that you can use to access your apps and playlists. It spans across virtually the entire dashboard! Not only does this screen give you complete command of your tech, but it also makes your Envision look futuristic, like something out of a sci-fi movie. The in-dash navigation is a great example of how this long display can pay off: you’ll have no trouble glancing at the map and immediately seeing where you are. However, there’s more fun tech than just the digital screen. You also have a head-up display that keeps you up to date on speed and directions, so you don’t have to look away from where you’re going—and that’s not even to mention how darn cool it looks when it’s activated, too. The Bose nine-speaker premium audio system will make sure there’s no bad seat when it comes to sound. Everyone in your SUV will be able to enjoy your playlist and rock out like they’re at a concert. Your passengers will also be pleased to know that, no matter where you are in Michigan, you’re going to be driving safely thanks to Buick’s suite of safety features, including Rear Cross Traffic Braking and Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking. The Buick’s tech works overtime to keep you and your passengers secure. Room to Transport Last but far from least, the Buick Envision comes with an enviable amount of cargo room so that you can load in as much luggage as you need to. Behind the rear seats, you have 25.2 cu.ft. of space, which will be plenty when you have to toss in some suitcases for a trip out of state. However, if you’re someone who has to regularly move a lot of equipment—for work or adventure—you can lower the rear seats to more than double the amount of cargo room: 52.7 cu.ft. The Envision aims to be versatile so that, no matter where your mission is, you’ll be able to accomplish it. Find Your Own Envision! You can find the Envision with an interior that works for you here at LaFontaine Buick GMC Ann Arbor. Our customer service experts will be more than happy to guide you through your options and help you select the one that’ll make driving your new favorite activity.

3 Hidden Cargo Features That Make the 2024 GMC Terrain a Storage Superstar

If you’re looking for a compact SUV with a solid towing capacity and all-wheel drive, you should check out a GMC Terrain for sale. This popular small SUV combines the prowess of larger models with the favorable fuel economy of a sedan, all for a great starting price. We love showing it to drivers because they’re always so surprised by the great features hiding in this little sport utility vehicle. Its dimensions might be compact, but its offerings are anything but limited. Today, we want to take a close look at some of the storage perks you can get with the 2024 Terrain. more As a dedicated GMC dealer, we speak to a lot of shoppers who wonder if a small SUV will be able to hold all of their belongings. Nobody wants to drive home in a new vehicle only to learn in the coming weeks that they struggle to get the items they transport daily into their car. We wager that the 2024 Terrain was designed with Harry Houdini on staff, as it's amazing how much fits inside this deceptively small SUV. GMC has maximized every inch of this model to make sure that you don’t have to sacrifice storage space to enjoy car-like dimensions and fuel efficiency. Here are three cargo features of the 2024 GMC Terrain that make it a storage superstar. 1) A Fold-Flat Front Passenger Seat Many vehicles offer rear seats that fold down. For the record, the GMC 2024 Terrain has a 60/40 split-folding rear row, giving you several cargo configurations for varying quantities of belongings. However, only a select few vehicles also boast fold-front passenger seats—and the Terrain is one of them. With the front passenger seat and rear seats folded in the Terrain, you can make room for items that are up to eight feet long. That’s some serious storage power! You can even create a space for a super-tall person to lie down in the Terrain. Impromptu camping trip under the stars? No problem. We love to show off this feature because it assures drivers that they won’t need to borrow a friend’s pickup truck or hire a moving company when they need to transport larger items. So, when you find a great area rug for sale, a cute coffee table, a boogie board, etcetera—you name it, and you can lug it home inside your Terrain. This is a very smart trait to have. In other compact SUVs, you might be out of luck when you need to bring something long home. You’ll stare at that front passenger seat that doesn’t fold down, resenting what a waste of space it is at that moment. It doesn’t have to be like that. The Terrain doesn’t force you to keep that co-pilot seat available for a passenger. If you need it for belongings instead of a buddy, just fold it down. 2) A Hands-Free Programmable Power Liftgate In a perfect world, happy helpers would appear out of nowhere each time you approached your trunk with arms full of stuff. In the real world, sometimes your teenagers are too distracted by their social media, or neighbors are too busy to rush to your side and assist you. When your arms are full of bags, having to put them all down to manually open the trunk and then pick everything back up is a huge pain. That’s where the hands-free power liftgate comes into play. Here’s how it works: as you approach your vehicle, once you’re within six feet of it, you’ll see the LED projection turn on. That’s your kick zone—as in, kick your foot over the logo, and the trunk will automatically open. Who needs helpers when you have a smart trunk? Your only job now is figuring out how to stack those groceries! Here’s another cool feature of the power liftgate: you can program its height. That’s right—you can set it up so that the trunk door raises to the same height each time. There are several reasons this is useful. First off, if you regularly park in the same garage or covered parking spot, you can program the liftgate to stop just shy of the ceiling so it doesn’t scratch the roof of your parking spot. Additionally, you can make sure it doesn’t go up so high that you can’t reach it. So, if you’re on the shorter side, you don’t have to jump up in the air to close it or ask a taller friend to close it for you. 3) An Available Cargo Package If you want to protect your belongings from prying eyes, from getting too hot, or from rolling around, then you’ll like the available cargo package. It contains two things: first, a retractable cargo shade, and second, a vertical cargo net. The retractable cargo shade offers several benefits. One of those is simply keeping your trunk’s contents cool. If you’re running errands around town and have to make another stop or two before you can get your groceries home, you’ll appreciate being able to protect those tubs of ice cream and cold beverages from the hot sun. Perishables aside, some items—like soccer balls or leather goods—can deteriorate quickly when left exposed to sunlight. So, this shade helps you protect items that can crack and peel in the sun. When you have to transport valuables in your trunk, the shade allows you to hide them from onlookers, too. So when you’re taking a PA system to a gig or delivering the new computers to your kid’s school, you can make sure nobody can see those when you park the car and leave it unattended. The vertical cargo net is great for helping you create sections in your trunk. For example, if you’re transporting one kid’s science project and the other’s sports gear, you can separate them in the trunk so the items don’t roll into each other and cause a mess. An In-Depth Look at the Avenir

Have you ever taken a look around a Buick dealer or caught a commercial on TV and seen the word “Avenir”? Unless you’ve driven a Buick with an Avenir trim, you might not know what it means or all that it entails. more The word “Avenir” sounds enticing, doesn’t it? It’s intriguing, a little mysterious, and seems to promise a unique experience. Buick has used the word since 2015 as a descriptor for specific vehicles in this brand's lineup. But what does it mean? Which drivers was it created for? And what’s included for vehicles that carry the name? Buick’s reputation for producing accessible luxury vehicles is second to none, and the Avenir name will further entrench a Buick model in that category. If you’ve been looking for a luxury SUV, you’re in luck: Buick’s got what you need with the Avenir, from cabin comforts and conveniences to mechanical options to cutting-edge technology and more. So what does this mean for you? How will it affect your driving experience? Let’s take a look at the Avenir name, from its concept to the luxurious details within its model that make driving an absolute dream… What Is the Avenir? Though you may have seen “Avenir” in Buick's advertising over the last few years, it might not be clear what Avenir entails. Is it a vehicle, a trim level, a special edition, or something else altogether? The Avenir lineup is, simply put, a group of Buick vehicles elevated to an even more luxurious and high-tech level. It’s a little bit more than a trim since it both adds to the vehicle and provides an outline for the future of Buick vehicles. “Avenir” is the French word for “future” and has been applied to a variety of projects, including a futuristic font from the 1980s, as well as to Buick’s plans for their next models. The word itself rolls off the tongue and reminds one of a grand avenue straight to the future. There are a variety of Buick vehicles with the Avenir tag, including the ever-popular Enclave, the Encore, and, for the first time, 2024’s Envista. You might be familiar with the regular versions of these vehicles, but if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to see a Buick Enclave Avenir or the newest Buick Envista Avenir, do yourself a favor and take a look at one; you’ll be enthralled with the luxurious details as well as the smooth handling, high-tech interior, and the ease with which it shears mile after mile toward your destination. From Concept to Classic What was once a concept car shown at the 2015 North American International Auto Show is poised to become the ultimate luxurious classic. Its exterior design was guided by none other than creative designer Warrack Leach, who is responsible for many memorable designs that went from sketch to eye-catching vehicles for General Motors. The prototype of the Avenir line was built in Australia, and ever since, Buick’s Avenir line has seen a steady business and plenty of accolades. In fact, the aforementioned prototype took home two EyesOn Design Awards—one in the category of “Best Designed Concept Vehicle” at the conclusion of its visit to the International Auto Show. Now, nearly a decade later, the Avenir line continues to impress, winning awards for the Buick nameplate as well as the Avenir tag. Kelley Blue Book has awarded “Best Value Luxury Brand” to Buick for several years, and with Buick being the fastest growing mainstream brand, with the Avenir taking up a quarter of retail sales. It’s safe to say that people have responded well to the Avenir lineup since its inception, and it seems to only be growing in popularity. But what appeals so strongly to Buick drivers, and what might clinch your decision to join in? An Eye for Luxurious Details Since the Avenir is Buick’s look to the future, it stands to reason that the Avenir line includes some of the most cutting-edge tech when it comes to safety, comfort, and power. For instance, the Enclave Avenir comes with both a head-up display and wireless charging—luxuries that are often relegated to optional features on other vehicles. A five-link rear suspension has been installed to give the driver and their passengers the smoothest ride possible. As for the interior, the driver and front passenger can enjoy massaging seats that are also ventilated, and the entire group can appreciate natural sunlight or gaze at the stars through the panoramic moonroof. In addition to these ample luxuries, the design of the Avenir brings to mind a refined, well-crafted future with its clean lines, unique grille, and highly polished wheels. There are plenty of things to love about the premium Avenir tag, but perhaps one of the best things is the all-encompassing list of safety features, including front and rear park assist, front pedestrian braking, and a following distance indicator. With these, you’ll be able to park smoothly and halt quickly in the event of a potentially dangerous situation. What the Avenir Entails Buick’s Avenir is not only a promise for the future; it’s also a dedication to the present, providing drivers and passengers with a dream of the future and all it can entail. Wouldn’t you love to be part of something like that? People the world over are dreaming of a variety of futures, and if you had your choice, wouldn’t you choose the future the Avenir helped create? That’s what Buick wants for its drivers: a bright, glowing vision of the future where life has become more pleasant and more luxurious and gives you plenty of time to spend with your family and friends. The Avenir is the future of Buick, but it can also be your future. Whether you need a five-seat SUV or a seven-seater, whether you’re looking for an everyday vehicle that can handle the daily commute or something that makes all your trips and vacations more enjoyable, the premium Avenir trim will guarantee that you have all you need to make wonderful memories for a long time to come. Brighton Drivers Should Explore the 2024 Buick Lineup

Buick’s lineup is looking better than ever, thanks to the 2024 models. If you live in the greater area of Brighton, there are many reasons why you should take a closer look at what Buick has to offer. Do you want cargo space? Check. Passenger room? Efficiency? Style? Yes, Buick has it all. Let us take you on a brief journey through the 2024 Buick lineup and ultimately give you the rundown on why you should visit a Buick dealer near Brighton when you’re done reading. Let’s dive in. more If You Want to Save Fuel Buick’s lineup includes SUVs that are perfect for multiple scenarios. From the more power-hungry three-row SUV that is the Enclave to the cost-effective Envista, Buick’s lineup is perfect for Brighton drivers. If you’re a cost-conscious driver when it comes to travel, it’s crucial to have a fuel-efficient vehicle. That’s especially true for those who use your vehicles multiple times daily. You might need your Buick SUV to be fuel-efficient because Route 96 is an everyday occurrence, thanks to the office being located in Detroit. You may even Uber around the neighborhood for some extra cash, and travel 15 minutes down Brighton Road to drive someone home after a night of partying on West Main Street. Whatever your reason is, you need to drive around Brighton–or Michigan, for that matter–to get around in a practical, fuel-efficient vehicle. The Buick SUVs you should consider for optimum fuel efficiency are the Encore GX and Envista. Don’t be alarmed if you’ve not heard of the Envista before. The 2024 model is the first one, making it a unique part of Buick’s 2024 lineup. Both are equipped with a turbocharged 1.2L I-3 engine, making 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. However, the Encore GX matches this turbocharged engine with a Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) while the 2024 Envista uses a six-speed automatic transmission, making it the only Buick to utilize such a transmission. The fuel economy ratings for the turbocharged 1.2L I-3 engine in the Envista are 28 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway (30 MPG combined.) In the Encore GX, the identically-sized engine gets 30 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway (30 MPG combined), making the combined fuel ratings a match between the two at 30 MPG. Both vehicles are outstanding for fuel efficiency, especially for city travel, like sitting in traffic on West Grand River Ave, traveling down Route 23 to get to Ann Arbor, or maybe hiking at the Bird Hills Nature Area. The 2024 Encore GX can also be fitted with a turbocharged 1.3L I-3 engine. The slightly larger displacement coupled with the choice of a CVT or a nine-speed automatic transmission means performance is enhanced over the base engine, making a healthy 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. Despite the increase in power, efficiency is barely nudged at all. AWD is also available, with only a miniscule reduction in fuel efficiency. With FWD, the turbocharged 1.3L I-3 engine earns EPA-estimated ratings of 29 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway (30 MPG combined, with AWD models still handing in 26 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway (27 MPG combined.) AWD comes standard with the 2024 Envision, which has slightly more cargo space than the Encore GX but has a large leap in performance. The EPA has not released fuel economy figures for the 2024 model yet, but the 2023 model with the same engine gets EPA-estimated ratings of 22 MPG in the city, 29 MPG on the highway, and 25 MPG combined. If You Need a Larger Vehicle We’ve mentioned the Envision, Encore GX, and the new Envisita. All three SUVs are fantastic, but they’re missing one thing: a third row of seating. If you need the extra row, your only realistic option is the Enclave. If you have the maximum number of seven people in your car, you’ll still have 23.6 cu.ft. of cargo space. This is still more space than the Envista and Encore GX, and those two SUVs would only accommodate up to five passengers, not seven. Owning an SUV with three rows of seating doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll always need three rows upright. You may only need two rows up regularly, which opens up more cargo space in the back. Let’s say you and your passengers occupy up to five seats, and the third-row seats are folded down. Maybe you’re driving the kids around town every morning to get to Brighton High School or Hornung Elementary, or you may be doing something fun, like taking the kids to the Mt. Brighton Ski Resort for the afternoon. In these scenarios, the 2024 Enclave will still give you 57.7 cu.ft. of space. This is more than any other Buick offers. With three rows of seats, folding down the third row is one option to extend cargo capacity. The next way is to fold down the second row, which lends most of your cabin’s real estate to any cargo needs. If and when you need to make the most of your 2024 Enclave’s supreme interior, you’ll have a whopping 97.4 cu.ft. of space to use. This is a 69% increase in cargo space over folding down only the third row. If you fold both rows down, this is a 313% increase in the cargo room. This added utility does come at the cost of fuel economy, but not as much as you might think. Under the hood lies a 3.6L V6, the only such engine in Buick’s current lineup. It produces a generous 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Enclave can also tow up to 5,000 lbs, enabling you to tow whatever toys or additional cargo you need. The Enclave is rated to get 18 MPG in the city and 26 on the highway, with a combined rating of 21 MPG. Though lower than the smaller Buicks, it’s quite good for an SUV of the Enclave’s size and capabilities. Vehicles like the Buick Enclave are perfect for fun, and the cargo space plays a large part. If you own a 2024 Buick Enclave, that means you can be the one to facilitate the tailgating parties after driving down to Ford Field for the Detroit Lions game (Go Lions!) You can have everything you need for the festivities, from your canopy, the coolers, snacks, chairs, and everything else that says to your friends and family that you’re the heart of the party because you’re the one who brought it with you. Of course, you have your 2024 Buick Enclave to thank for it. Home-Field Advantage If you’re going to drive a vehicle in the greater area of Detroit, Michigan, you may as well be driving a vehicle that was born in the Motor City. The 2024 Buick lineup is a vibrant one, especially with the likes of the Envista joining the picture. Buick’s lineup is a defining example of quality over quantity, but that’s not to say you are restricted with your choices. Shopping for a new Buick model can be an enthralling experience, especially when you get down to the more intricate selections like the Avenir and ST models. Buick vehicles are amazing, and if you live in or around Brighton and haven’t tried one yet, then you owe it to yourself. Why not treat yourself and consider what your life may look like with a Buick vehicle in the driveway?
